My name is Mintesinot Birru Hanfato, and I am originally from Ethiopia. I completed both my undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Theology in Ethiopia. I am a doctoral student at the University of South Africa (UNISA).

Since January 2021, I have been serving as a missionary with the Mission of Lutheran Churches (MLC), working at the seminary as a librarian and lecturer. In October 2023, I was appointed as the Registrar of the seminary.

In addition to these responsibilities, I am serving as a vacancy pastor at Diepkloof Evangelical Lutheran Church (DELC) in Soweto, Johannesburg. I also assist Pastor Nathan in ministry at Arcadia Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pretoria.

At present, my future role as an MLC missionary remains uncertain, as it depends on a decision to be made by the Lutheran Church Mission (LKM) in Germany.
