The Evangelical Lutheran Congregation (Lutherkirche) was established in 1964, when its first divine service was held in Newcastle. In 2015, Thomas Beneke was installed as pastor of the parish. In addition to German, divine services are also conducted in English.
Providing catechesis as foundational Christian education for children and adults, alongside Christian-based holiday programs that nurture faith, fellowship, and joy in children.
Equipping churches and families with tools like Farming God’s Way and local food gardens. As well as providing additional support.
Visiting the sick, counselling those in crisis, and walking with families through difficult times.
A place of care and hope for orphaned and vulnerable children: a nurturing environment, sustainable food production to support daily needs, and mercy outreach that reflects Christ’s love

Our church has grown significantly over the years, and with that growth comes a new opportunity: to build a new church building. This is an exciting and humbling project. Who can say they’ve had the privilege of building a church in their lifetime? What we do now will serve not only us, but generations to come.
Farming God’s Way is not an organisation, but rather a tool or resource, freely available for individuals, NGO’s, mission’s or churches to be able to use to make a difference in the lives of the communities they have influence into.
