My name is Heinz Hiestermann. I am the rector of the Lutheran Theological Seminary, of which the MLC is a shareholder, along with the LCSA and FELSISA. 

I am married to Renate, and we have two daughters, Lotta and Jana. 

After school, I completed a bachelor’s degree in business management. I started my theological studies in 2004 at the University of Pretoria. From 2007-2012 I studied theology in Germany (Oberursel, Mainz, and Frankfurt). I was ordained in 2014, and served as pastor of the Greytown congregation till 2019. I have been serving at the seminary since 2020.
